As a result of operative-investigative measures conducted by the officers of RA National Security Service a case of swindling of particularly large mount under the pretext of bribing was revealed.
In particular, it was ascertained that the «Armenian Eagles: United Armenia» party Vice President Mher Yeghiazaryan, responsible for «Haynews.am» media website, with an intent to appropriate somebody’s property by cheating, during the period of February 2014 till October 2018, personally or through mediators, abusing the confidence of a number of RA citizens, including several servicemen, for employment or service placement, career promotion, or for the settlement of various problems, with an intent to forward a bribe, demanded, received and without performing any action, appropriated by swindling from AMD 180.000 to a particularly large amount of AMD 4 million 775 thousand that is equivalent to USD 10.000.
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigation Department of RA National Security Service pursuant to 1st clause of 3rd part of Article 178 and 1st clause of 3rd part of Article 34-312 of the RA Criminal Code. Mher Yeghiazaryan was arrested, a preliminary investigation goes on.
